27 Nov 2025We had a very nice experience with Van Ekeren Makelaars. The viewings went smoothly thanks to Gerald and Jeroen, who with genuine interest really wanted to know what our wishes were. Both very social. We were guided by Matthieu (is a top) from the mortgage conversation up to making offers and the final purchase of the house. He gave us a lot of tips and tricks. The nice thing is everything was explained from A to Z in an easy way and arranged. So also the insurances where Yvette has helped us, she also helped us well. What we especially appreciate is the old, but rare mentality: the customer is really number 1, and nothing is too much. Many companies could take an example here!

Our situation was quite unique: the house had to be sold while we were already living in America. During our short stay in the Netherlands preceding the sale, Sylvia – together with Manuela at the office – fantastically helped us. They truly guided us through the entire process. Not only professionally, but also with all sorts of practical matters that you would normally do yourself if you were in the Netherlands: arranging the appointment with the notary, helping with cleaning the last rooms in the house, explaining all legal terms (many of which were quite unfamiliar to us after 25 years outside the Netherlands), and even helping to remove the last belongings from the property. Sylvia and Manuela were always available, thought along with us and gave us the feeling that we could fully trust them – and that proved to be true. They were a tremendous support in a situation that otherwise could have been quite stressful. Absolutely top! We can wholeheartedly recommend Sylvia and the team of Mutters Makelaars!

We knew that just like us many others are looking for a starter home, but more effort could be put into selling the houses. The rooms were shown, no extra information was given and if we had a question it could be found in the brochure or was answered very briefly. Ridiculous! If you experience this once you might think that person is having a bad day, but after two viewings it was clear. Totally no pleasant atmosphere. It's only because the houses looked good that we made an offer, but if I had gone by the real estate agent I would have quickly left.

Chanel gives good tips in advance for the sale, takes the time for you and communicates clearly about the property. Also during the negotiations, clear communication is used, which greatly strengthens the process. After acceptance of the offer you are kept well informed about updates and the situation, which is very nice if you yourself do not know much about it. Moreover, we are now buying a house for the second time through Chanel and that has gone very well again. Really a top experience, so to speak. We are very satisfied with the service provided and would highly recommend them.
